The snow conditions are so peculiar at the moment as we can have big amounts of fresh powder very low in altitude ! it is amazing !

Col de la cicle
2 weeks ago i have been really inspired by the now and then foggy landscape that could be seen below the “col de la Cicle”. It is situated above the Contamines Montjoie ski resort. I publish now a couple of pictures that show this peculiar ambiance and Highlight contrasts. Would it be a hot desert or a freezing cold mountain??? It can be unsure…

In the very surrounding of Megève, you can find an icefall that had barely enough ice but must be good now exept to be too cold !

it is a long time i didn’t post anything on this blog, first because i was really busy travelling without connection and wanted to enjoy thoroughly the travelling experience. So much that i didn’t even watch all the pics i took last 3 months… i put here one pic from one of the most amazing day of the trip we made in jully together with Pauline ! it has been taken from piz bianco ( Bernina Massiv/Italy/Swiss) in Jully 2011, the ridge you see leads to the top of this masiv ( 4049). The current conditions were wintery and we were happy to follow the tracks of a mountain guide ( Michael Stacheder). one of the best day up in the montain overnighting at Marco e Rosa hut ( 3597m a.s.l).
